Job summary

ALBA W&H SMART CITY PTE. LTD. is hiring for a field operations inspector responsible for routine inspections of collection routes and service locations in Singapore.

You will monitor refuse and recycling activities, identify issues, and coordinate with drivers and Operations to ensure timely resolution, while maintaining accurate records and reporting findings. The role requires a Diploma/NITEC or equivalent, outdoor work capability, and independence to respond to changing requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma/NITEC/Higher NITEC or equivalent required.
• Experience in waste management or field operations is advantageous.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing requirements.
• Valid Singapore driving licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine field inspections of assigned collection routes, premises and service locations.
• Monitor refuse and recycling collection activities for schedules and standards.
• Identify and report missed collections, overflowing bins, spillage, and access issues.
• Monitor drivers and attendants to ensure compliance with procedures and safety.
• Attend to service feedback and complaints, including site investigations.
• Coordinate with operations to rectify issues in a timely manner.
• Inspect bins and collection points and report repair needs.
• Monitor ground conditions and operational difficulties.
• Maintain records, photos and inspection findings; prepare reports.
• Escalate significant incidents to Operations.

Job description

Responsibility:

• Conduct routine field inspections of assigned collection routes, premises and service locations.
• Monitor refuse and recycling collection activities to ensure compliance with schedules and service standards.
• Identify and report missed collections, overflowing/damaged bins, spillage, access issues and other service-related problems.
• Monitor drivers and attendants to ensure compliance with operational procedures, service standards and safety requirements.
• Attend to assigned service feedback and complaints, including conducting site investigations where required.
• Coordinate with drivers, attendants and Operations personnel to ensure timely rectification of service issues.
• Inspect refuse/recycling bins, bulk bins and collection points, and report requirements for repair, replacement or relocation.
• Monitor ground conditions and identify operational difficulties affecting collection routes and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records, photographs and inspection findings, and prepare daily or periodic field reports.
• Escalate significant incidents, recurring service issues, safety concerns and operational disruptions to the Operations team.

Requirement

• Minimum Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in waste management, environmental services, logistics, transport or field operations is advantageous.
• Able to perform outdoor field duties and work in different weather conditions.
• Able to work independently and respond to changing operational requirements.
• Possession of a valid Singapore driving licenceis advantageous due to the mobile nature of the role.
