Job summary

Marlink seeks an experienced IT & Satcom Technician to install, service and maintain connectivity systems and IT networks on offshore platforms and vessels. You will document installations and coordinate with customers to ensure timely delivery within the defined scope.

You should have a degree in IT/Telecom, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in offshore environments. Fluency in English is essential, with additional languages a plus; willingness to travel worldwide.

Qualifications

• Education in IT & Telecommunications (bachelor’s degree or similar).
• Experience in the Satcom System is an advantage.
• IT knowledge must include server configuration and network configuration/administration.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Fortinet Certification, or equivalent are a plus.
• Experience in marine electronics environment on yachts, commercial or military vessels, or offshore installation is an advantage.
• Preferably experience serving multinational customers.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong commitment to quality, adherence to practices and procedures, and prioritizing correctly under time pressure.
• Physically fit to work in offshore/maritime environments; able to lift heavy equipment and access confined antenna spaces.
• Fluent in English and preferably other international languages.
• Must be flexible to travel worldwide and work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Team player with ability to independently solve tasks.
• Self-initiative to increase knowledge level by self-studying and training.
• Actively seek and share knowledge within the organization.
• Flexible to perform other tasks outside the scope of main role.
