Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd seeks a Field Engineer to support GMP-regulated pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical projects. You will provide on-site technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, validation, and project handover at project sites.

Responsibilities include supervising installation and start-up, assisting with IQ/OQ/PQ, and coordinating with project teams to ensure GMP and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, pharmaceutical engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in pharma, biotechnology, process engineering, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Familiarity with equipment installation, process systems, utilities, HVAC, piping or electrical systems advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of GMP, commissioning, qualification and validation preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, consultants and client representatives on site matters.
• Prepare site reports, commissioning records, test results, punch lists and documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance, system optimisation and corrective actions as needed.
• Track outstanding issues and ensure timely closure before project completion.

Job Scope

• Provide technical support for pharmaceutical equipment, utility systems, and process installations at project sites.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and start‑up activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Support IQ, OQ, and PQ activities and coordinate validation requirements where applicable.
• Monitor site works to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety procedures, GMP requirements, and project quality expectations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during construction, installation, commissioning, and system handover.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, consultants, and client representatives on site matters.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, process engineering, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with equipment installation, process systems, utilities, HVAC, piping, or electrical systems is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of GMP, commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and equipment documentation.
• Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and site stakeholders.
• Willing to work at project sites and travel when required.
