Job summary

UP Communications Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled Fiber Field Technician to join our growing team in the Eastern part of Singapore. This full-time role involves hands-on work installing and maintaining fiber optic networks to ensure reliable internet connectivity for Residential and Commercial customers.

As a Fiber Field Technician, you will install ONT/ONT-R, routers, Wireless Mesh and related CPE equipment; liaise with customers to provision fiber services; troubleshoot and maintain tickets; and

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fiber Field Technician or similar role in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Experience in the Telecommunication Industry
• Technical knowledge of fiber optic network infrastructure and installation procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve network issues
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and team members
• Ability to work safely and follow all relevant health and safety guidelines
• Willingness to learn and keep up with evolving fiber optic technologies
• Experience in Telecom Transmission Technology (MSAN, SDH, Battery Charger, GPON)
• Must be able to speak and write in English
• Must possess own motorcycle/vehicle
