Job summary

A major telecommunications provider seeks a professional for fibre routing and infrastructure planning in Singapore. The candidate will support commercial teams by ensuring timely delivery of routing proposals and manage contractors for effective implementation of fibre services. Responsibilities include addressing site issues, performing order management, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications and has at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Make An Impact By

• Pre-Sales Fibre Routing for supporting commercial teams by providing accurate, timely, and cost‑effective fibre routing proposals for hyperscaler customers. This role bridges technical feasibility with business requirements, ensuring that proposed network solutions are viable, optimised, and aligned with operational standards.
• Work closely with Sales, Bid Management, Account Manager to validate proposed routes.
• Provide technical clarifications and support during customer engagements and tender submissions.
• Perform infrastructure planning of pipeline connection and fibre deployments for data centres and hyperscaler customers and to proactively top up the fibre when required etc.
• Dark fibre projects are highly customized and be responsible for its implementation and ensuring that dark fibre services are delivered to customer meeting Customer Ready Date (CRD).
• Manage and resolve site issues related to pipe and fibre
• To supervise contractors to execute all pipeline works covering laying of new and top up pipes in the area under his control in accordance with all established operation procedures and engineering instructions.
• Ensure that target dates for the completion of all the pipeline works are met so that cables can be laid and services can be provided expeditiously to customers.
• Attend site meeting with other public bodies, service agencies and developers in connection with provision of underground plants.
• Close all fibre cable schemes accurately and promptly. Ensure that all reports are sent for updating promptly upon completion.
• To perform order management using system for fibre based products.
• To liaise with building management and manage contractors for the fiber implementation for fibre based products.
• To take ownership and manage contractors on fibre splicing, fibre termination, fibre patching and fiber testing for the provisioning and of fibre‑based products.
• To ensure the technicians and contractors follow safety procedure in accordance to the work health and safety act (WHSA) and to use appropriate safety equipment so as to complete the assigned job efficiently and safely.
• Any other duties that maybe assign by the manager in charge

Skills For Success

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications or in relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years working experience
• Able to communicate well with all levels of people.
• Able to manage multiple projects at same period of time
• Good in Microsoft software (i.e; words, power point, excel, etc) Good communication skills, keen to learn and a team player.
• Class 3 driving license required
