Job summary

COLLARO MENSWEAR PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a part-time Operations Intern for November and December to assist with fabric inventory, order fulfilment and quality checks.

You will work 9:45am–6:45pm on Monday, Friday and one additional weekday, with a structured 2-month training programme and a potential path to a permanent 3-day-a-week role.

No fixed degree is required; candidates with NITEC, Diploma or Degree are welcome, and a passion for fashion and menswear is a plus.

• Team player mindset, collaborates with Sales and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage fabric inventory, including lifting rolls and simple cutting, with bi-weekly checks.
• Reply to basic customer emails using the company framework.
• Perform basic quality control checks (ironing, measurements, thread trimming).
• Process order fulfilment using delivery software.

Job description

We are looking for a part-time operations intern for November and December who fulfils the description below:

1. About you

• Detail-oriented: When you run quality control checks and schedule deliveries, you'll need to exercise extra scrutiny to ensure we can deliver the best version of our products to the right address. As a Fashion Retail Operations Assistant, you'll ensure that every step is executed correctly and hold our partners accountable to produce and deliver the orders timely
• Accountable: There are many operational issues that can come up and mistakes that could happen, and we don't have a culture of blaming each other. When such issues occur, you will not shy away from admitting your mistake, and you will fix the problem immediately without any reminders
• Team-oriented: You will work with the Sales and Operations specialist closely, and we are looking for team players who look after one another

2. Requirements

• Paper qualifications aren't important, so it doesn't matter if you have a NITEC, Diploma or Degree
• Working days are Monday, Friday and another weekday of your choice from 9:45am to 6:45pm
• We are looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 2 months
• Passion in fashion and menswear is a bonus

2. Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage fabric inventory (includes lifting fabric rolls, simple cutting of fabric and conducting bi-weekly checks)
• Reply basic customer emails after learning our customer reply framework
• Conduct basic quality control checks (includes ironing of clothes, measurements checks using measuring tape, cutting of loose threads)
• Conduct order fulfilment with the use of delivery softwares

Training Programme

For you to be able to manage these responsibilities well, we have a developed a 2-month training programme for you. This is an outline of what you can expect:

Weeks 1-2

• Be put through the customer journey
• Introduction to the different product lines and designs we offer
• Learn about the different types of fabrics, and the various fabric suppliers that we work with
• Learn about the nuances of our inventory tracking process

Weeks 3-4

• Be introduced to our production partners, and learn their unique work flows
• Deep dive into the existing processes that we use to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
• Learn about our quality control framework so that you can conduct styles and measurements checks of all clothes, to ensure our standards are upheld

Weeks 5-6

• Learning our basic customer success framework which will help prepare you to respond to customers' order-related enquiries
• Learning how to use the software to arrange international delivery

Weeks 7-8

• A review of what was taught to you from week 1 to 6 will be done, to see what areas you'd need more guidance with
• You will make a list of processes that require improvement, after which we will discuss and work on the more important processes

Note: The higher salary range are for candidates who have the relevant skillsets required of this role without training

There is also a possibility of this turning into a permanent 3-day a week part-time role
