Job summary

Coilcraft Singapore Pte Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented professional to assist the Failure Analysis Engineer with failure analysis, testing, and documentation. You will support root cause investigations and corrective actions in collaboration with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.

The role welcomes fresh graduates and requires basic knowledge of electronics, testing, and lab tools, along with solid Excel/Word skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components, electrical testing, and troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and measurement tools is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Careful, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting failure analysis on defective products, components, and materials.
• Perform visual inspections, electrical testing, and basic troubleshooting according to established procedures.
• Operate and maintain failure analysis equipment and laboratory tools.
• Prepare samples for analysis, including component removal, cross-sectioning, and other sample preparation activities as required.
• Record test results, observations, photographs, and analysis data accurately.
• Assist engineers in identifying failure modes and potential root causes.
• Prepare failure analysis reports and maintain proper records of analysis results.
• Support corrective and preventive action activities to reduce product failures and improve product quality.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to obtain samples and relevant failure information.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of failure analysis samples.

About the role
