Job summary

8DOORS is seeking a driven Factory Operations & QC Manager to lead day-to-day factory activities, enforce safety standards and drive continuous improvement across production lines.

You will supervise workers, coordinate with project teams and ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards and delivery timelines. A hands-on, proactive leader with 2+ years in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in factory operations, production management, metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Experience in metal door, window/door frame, grille, grating or metal fabrication is highly preferred.
• Experience managing and supervising production workers.
• Good knowledge of SOPs, work instructions and quality control procedures.
• Strong understanding of factory operations, production processes and QC.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and take full ownership of factory operations.
• Hands-on, proactive and willing to be involved in day-to-day factory matters.

About the Company

Key Responsibilities

Factory Operations & Manpower Management

• Oversee and manage the overall day-to-day factory operations.

• Ensure proper factory housekeeping, organization and workplace safety.

• Train, guide and coach workers to improve productivity, workmanship and work practices.

• Monitor the use and condition of machinery, tools, materials and other factory resources.

• Maintain proper records and documentation relating to factory operations where required.

• Supervise and coordinate factory workers to ensure productivity, discipline and proper work practices.

• Take ownership of all factory-related operational matters and resolve issues in a timely and practical manner.

• Plan and coordinate production activities, manpower and workflow to meet project and delivery requirements.

• Ensure workers understand and follow established SOPs, procedures, work instructions and safety requirements.

• Coordinate with management, project/site teams and other relevant parties on factory and production matters.

• Identify operational problems and implement improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency and workflow.

Quality Control (QC)

• Oversee and maintain quality control throughout the entire production process.

• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications and required quality standards.

• Ensure completed doors/products are properly inspected before delivery to site.

• Inspect and monitor incoming materials, work-in-progress and completed products.

• Manage the quality and defect control process from factory production, pre-delivery and installation through to final customer handover.

• Check dimensions, workmanship, fabrication quality, finishing and overall product quality.

• Identify defects and non-conformities and ensure proper rectification.

• Work closely with the production team to identify causes of quality issues and prevent recurring problems.

• Maintain appropriate QC records, inspection reports and documentation.

• Continuously improve factory quality standards and QC procedures.

Production & QC KPI Monitoring

• Monitor production output, productivity and production completion against targets.

• Monitor production costs and factory operating expenses against budget or targets.

• Monitor manpower utilization, labour productivity and overtime.

• Monitor QC defect rates, material wastage, rejection rates and recurring defects.

• Review QC KPI performance regularly and identify corrective actions where targets are not achieved.

• Report significant production, manpower, cost and quality issues to management and recommend practical improvement actions.

Requirements
