Job summary

HR Exchange Pte Ltd is recruiting for a Facilities Operations Manager to lead the data centre operations team and ensure maintenance, uptime and safety across critical infrastructure.

You will coordinate with service providers, monitor SLAs and KPIs, and travel regionally as required to meet client needs. Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred for communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6-8 years experience in operation / facility management in hyperscale or large data centres.
• Experience working across cross-functional multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Good command of English and Chinese; regional travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Facility Operations team / service providers in data centres for maintenance, upkeep and repair of infrastructure.
• Ensure SLA's and KPI's within the scope of works are met for customers.
• Respond to and provide feedback to customers on operation and maintenance matters.
• Review routine operation tasks and drive adherence to best practices, policies and processes.
• Support, coordinate and monitor vendor performance ensuring scope of work compliance.
• Conduct benchmarks and analyses and prepare reports on critical facility operation.
• Ensure health and safety policies are implemented across employees and subcontractors.
• Update practices for data centre operations and equipment standards.
• Perform other duties as required; frequent regional travel is required.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Facility Operations team / service providers in the data centres fields for the activities of maintenance, upkeep, and repair of all infrastructure systems in the data centres.


• Ensure contractually agreed SLA's and KPI's within the scope of works (SOW) with the customers are met in all areas of operational activities.


• Response and feedback to the customers for the operation and maintenance matters


• Review routine operation and maintenance tasks and drive adherence to the best practice, policies, and processes in the data centres fields


• Support, coordinate, and monitor service vendors performance and activities, ensuring work activities meeting scope of work and following the established procedures.


• Conduct operational and performance benchmarks & analyses and prepares reports on all aspects of the critical facility operation and maintenance.


• Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and vendor health and safety policies and process is effectively implemented across both employee and subcontractors activities and are regularly reviewed.


• Update practices consistent for data centre operations and equipment, including scope of work standards.


• Any other responsibilities as required by supervisor.


• Frequent regional travelling is required.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering


• 6-8 years solid experience as operation / facility management role in hyperscale or large data centres


• Experience in working across cross-functional multi-disciplinary teams


• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills


• Good command of English and Chinese. We are seeking candidates proficient in Chinese to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients.


• Flexible in regional travelling
