Job summary

MODEC Offshore Production Systems (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to drive performance by monitoring plant KPIs, analyzing deviations, and supporting the Operations Manager in client interfaces and regulatory matters.

You will coordinate with offshore teams, participate in planning, budgeting, MOC, and maintenance activities to ensure maximum availability and safe operations across the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Postgraduation in areas related to the discipline of expertise is a competitive edge.
• Engineer JR/PL/SR/Specialist: overall experience is expected.
• Previous experience in Offshore Oil & Gas area is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage plant KPIs and support root-cause studies in deviations.
• Support Operations Manager in client interface and regulatory matters to enhance operation safety and revenue.
• Participate in planning and budgeting, resource allocations, and liaison with offshore/onshore departments.
• Coordinate with Offshore team for preventive and corrective maintenance and performance monitoring of process equipment.
• Support audits, inspections, and, if needed, coverage of Operations Manager in their absence.

Job Description

• Responsible for acting as the driver of operations performance enhancement for the assigned unit, by monitoring and managing the plant's main KPIs, supporting Technical Support departments to ensure proper studies and analysis to attack root causes on deviations detected, supporting the Operations Manager in the interface with the client and authorities, in order to continuously enhance operation efficiency, thus contributing to the safe operation and the production and revenue target achievement, contributing to the business continuity and its growth.
• Contribute to the unit's operational performance, by managing and constantly analyzing operation's KPIs, following up corporate and setting specific relevant indicators to be followed up in the unit, monitoring their performance, discussing root causes for eventual deviations, tracing future expectations and evaluating improvement opportunities along with Technical Support departments, aiming to guarantee maximum availability and safety for the assigned unit.
• Actively engage in the Operations Cell routine, including Morning Calls, Integrated Planning, routine follow-up meetings, ensuring the proper assistance to other Ops Cell members in their attributions whenever required and possible, promoting a culture of mutual support, growth, avoiding any poor workload balance.
• Act as onshore support for the assigned unit's offshore team in the resolution of operation's routine demands, assisting them in the interface with other departments, as well as guiding them to the proper systems, processes and means, thus promoting a culture adherent to the company's procedures and systems.
• Contribute to the unit's annual budget planning (expenses and investments), by participating of the corporate planning, providing information about resources, replacements, services, and materials needs and other expenses used in its activities, liaising with Offshore and Onshore departments.
• Support the Operations Manager in the interface with the client for matters related to this position's scope, by actively participating in meetings with the client's representatives, supporting in the elaboration of formal responses, and assisting in negotiation for contract's demands, when required, as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Contribute to the Management of Change (MOC) process in the unit, by validating MOC requests, checking the feasibility of Technical Authority studies, following up its correct implementation, and participating in its closure or extension, when required, following MODEC's procedure.
• Coordinate with Offshore team the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance related to process equipment and performance monitoring (such as example, but not limited to: filters, SRU/ CO2/ N2/ H2S/ RO membranes, Molecular Sieves, Pressure vessels, heat exchangers etc.).
• Support in the replacement or repair of equipment - internal parts with the originals (liners of hydro cyclones, internals of process vessels, etc.); Complete equipment replacement; retrofits of internals based on based on technical assessment from technical team.
• Support internal and external audit and inspections.
• Might support the Operations Manager on team management issues - conflicts' resolution, trainings, -, as well as cover Operations Manager in their absence, as per Area Manager or Operations Manager discretion.
