Job summary

Falkor Engineering Services PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5 years of maintenance project experience in process plants to lead complex initiatives.

The role requires deep knowledge of process, mechanical, construction, design, finance, and advanced project management. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor projects, manage subcontractors, ensure safety and QA, and pursue opportunities with large industrial accounts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant experience in managing maintenance projects at process plants or similar environments.
• Extensive knowledge of process, mechanical, construction, design, finance and advanced project management techniques.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Powerpoint; Projects; Design software is a plus.
• Experience in managing projects to achieve goals within time and budget.
• Experienced cross-functional team leader.
• Scheduling and coordinating activities.
• Ability to communicate for technical and commercial opportunities.
• Ability to develop new business opportunities in refineries, terminals, and large industrial accounts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate activities associated with a given project, including budget and bid development.
• Review project scope and customer requirements; manage teams including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, subcontractors.
• Comply with tendering procedures, structure contract packages and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify, report and update contract changes to relevant parties.
• Direct and manage the performances of subordinate staff.
• Ensure job safety and environmental protection per HSE procedures.
• Ensure quality of works per contract specifications and QA/QC procedures.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, suppliers and local authorities.
• Ensure quotations and client information are delivered in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Central hub for communication for all technical and commercial opportunities and challenges related to project activities.
• Customer sales and services is also a part of the position and requires the ability to develop new business opportunities in refineries, terminals, and other large industrial accounts; service existing accounts, and act as a customer service representative to these accounts.
• Able to deal with change and ambiguity well for all technical and commercial opportunities and challenges related to project activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate activities associate with a given project. This can include specification review, budget / proposal preparation and bid development to include time frame, procedures to accomplish the project, staffing requirements and allotted available resources for each phase of the project.
• Reviews and understands project scope and customer requirements; communicates requirements and manage the teams including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, subcontractors and other various parties responsible for the success of the project.
• To comply with clients' tendering procedures and conditions, structuring of contract packages and appointment, administration and payment of subcontractors and suppliers.
• To identify, report and update the contract changes and modifications to the relevant parties.
• To direct and manage the performances of responsibilities delegated to the subordinate staff employed in the project.
• To ensure the job safety and environmental protection are in compliance with the company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• To ensure the quality of works delivered is in accordance with the contract specifications and with the company QA / QC procedures.
• Professional relationship with clients, suppliers and Local Authorities.
• To ensure that all quotations, relevant information to the client are delivered in the current form and within the necessary time frame.
