Job summary

YCH DistriPark Sdn. Bhd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced facilities manager to plan, direct and coordinate operations across maintenance, repairs, cleaning and hygiene, electrical systems and related services.

You will oversee budgets, tender processes, contractor management, safety procedures and audits, and lead projects such as office renovations or warehouse expansions. Strong leadership, cost control and vendor management are essential.

Job description

• Plans, directs and coordinate activities concerned with the operations, repair maintenance and construction of facilities, equipment, air conditioning system, tools and equipment, housekeeping, waste management and hygiene & sanitary matters, electrical maintenance, buildings and grounds to minimize interruption and improve efficiency.
• Plans such matters as design and development of plant facilities, formulation and operating rules, regulations and procedure. Formulated procedure for use in event of accidents, fires or other emergencies, inspect facilities or review inspection reports to determine repairs, replacement or improvement required. Supervises building service personnel.
• Assigns worker to duties such as maintenance, repair or renovation and may obtain bids for additional work from outside contractors. Plans and administers building department budget. Compiles records of labor and material cost for operating building and issues cost reports to owner or management.
• Reviews report of expenditures for previous fiscal year and proposed improvement to facilities in order to prepare budget estimates for upcoming fiscal year. Purchases building and maintenance supplies, machinery, equipment and furniture.
• Direct contracted projects to ensure adherence to specifications. May be responsible for procurement of utilities or operations utility systems.
• Prepare construction specification or plans, obtaining advice from engineering consultants, assemble and analyze contract bids and recommendations to superior for action.
• Manage assets enhancements including leading in several initiatives to optimize the yield of property assets through budget and financial planning and cost control, building upgrading programs, implementation of intelligent building technologies, energy and water conservation programs.
• Prepare and submit monthly KPI and expenditure reports. Ensure monthly expenditure is within planned budget.
• Provide support in all internal and external audits and partnering with the Quality Manager to follow up with action plans to ensure proper closure on audit findings related to facility management.
• Able to leads, plans, execute and manage project in relation to new warehouse set up, new office renovation, operations expansion and/or warehouse migration project.
