Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a disciplined Facilities Technician to manage maintenance across Changi Airport's 18 retail shops and two corporate offices. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and HVAC faults, and work with contractors to keep facilities safe and operational.

• Electrical discipline qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 18 retail shops in Changi Airport and 2 corporate offices to high maintenance standards.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for facility equipment, electrical and HVAC systems; troubleshoot faults with vendors.
• Oversee daily safety activities, conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Source and manage outsourced service providers for maintenance work.
• Investigate breakdowns to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
• Supervise contractors to ensure upkeep of site per requirements.
• Assist in site measurements for LED lighting panels/POP/ISP/display installations.
• Submit GLOB+ slips and approvals for purchases/services related to maintenance.

Job description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain 18 retail shops in Changi Airport and 2 corporate offices in the best condition to maximize the customer experience by keeping high standards of maintenance, housekeeping, and security of equipment and facilities.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective action to ensure facility equipment , office and retail stores systems run smoothly and efficiently including trouble shooting for electrical fault, air conditioning fault, water pipe burst and other related facilities equipment with helping hands from contractors or external vendors
• Oversee overall daily safety activities, ensure risk assessment and control measure are implemented
• Sourcing and managing outsourced service providers to ensure all repair / maintenance work are done to our expectations.
• Investigate, check and analyse reported breakdowns & faults to determine their cause for the prevention of future occurrences.
• Fixtures maintenance, checks and upkeeping
• Supervise contractors to carry out maintenance works and to ensure the upkeep of the site in accordance to stipulated requirements.
• Support the site measurements of LED lighting panels / POP (Point of Purchase) / ISP (In Store Promotion) / Display panels etc to prepare and co-ordinate the installations
• Submission of GLOB+ slips and approvals for purchase or services payable that is related to maintenance of the operations.
• And any other duties as and when assigned by the management

Requirements

• NITEC or Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical related discipline
• At least 1-2 years relevant experience within multiple retail stores environment would be advantageous
• Highly motivated and organized individual with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight timeline

Working Location: Changi Airport Terminals

Working hours : 5 work days | Rostered 2 rotation day shifts to support the 24 hrs travel retail operations | Required to work 1 alternate weekend duty
