Job summary

STMicroelectronics, Singapore, is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to ensure reliability and safety of critical electrical systems in a high-tech manufacturing facility. You will drive energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in semiconductor or high-tech environments, with a strong background in energy management and Lean/5S methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Facilities Engineering required.
  • 3–5 years in facilities management, electrical systems, and energy management in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability, energy reduction, and utility efficiency programs.
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of safety requirements, permit-to-work systems, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and uptime.
  • Support electrical projects, upgrades, retrofits, and system modifications from concept through implementation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient work per specs.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify opportunities for reliability, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, environmental, and company standards.
  • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, audits, and inspections as required.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and status updates for management.
  • Drive continuous improvement, Lean, and energy-saving initiatives within facilities.
  • Provide support for other facility engineering activities as needed.

YOUR ROLE

Facilities Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Electrical Engineer to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of critical electrical systems within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role is essential to maintaining uninterrupted operations, supporting facility improvements, and driving compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and uptime.
  • Support electrical projects, upgrades, retrofits, and system modifications from concept through implementation.
  • Coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify opportunities for improved reliability, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety, environmental, and company standards.
  • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, audits, and inspections as required.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and status updates for management.
  • Drive continuous improvement, Lean, and energy-saving initiatives within the facilities function.
  • Provide support for other facility engineering activities as needed.

  • Experience in semiconductor, wafer fab, cleanroom, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of power systems, including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and control systems.
  • Experience in energy management, reliability improvement, or asset integrity programs.
