Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking an Engineer to join the Facilities Chemical and Gas team.

You will design, analyze, and maintain state-of-the-art chemical and gas delivery systems for semiconductor processes, ensuring safe, compliant operation. The role requires collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and safety teams, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and hands-on experience with high-purity chemical handling equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as Chemical & Gas Engineer.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to present solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering studies for state-of-the-art system designs, capacity analysis, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain engineering databases to support capacity tracking and capital projects.
• Support startup of new equipment and ensure interfaces with other systems.
• Ensure designs meet codes and regulations (IFC, IBC, NEC, NFPA, FM, CGA, Semi).
• Study emerging facilities technologies for semiconductor processes.
• Plan mid-to-long term facilities infrastructure in line with company goals.
• Coordinate with TGCM contractors to ensure smooth chemical and gas delivery operations.
• Review and improve SOPs and risk assessments (RA).
• Respond to system issues and perform troubleshooting with contractors and OEMs.
• Verify safety features and maintain cross-discipline communication.
• Plan facility changes, develop cost estimates, and review construction progress.
• Develop criteria and specs to meet building and safety codes.
• Identify AI-enabled improvements and promote continuous improvement.
