Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING in Singapore seeks a detail-oriented Engineering Drafter to prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is essential to create technical drawings from specifications and calculations.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Engineering with at least 2 years in fabrication, knowledge of ISO 9001 QA systems, and strong communication skills to liaise with clients and the engineering team.

Qualifications

Engineering degree required.
Minimum 2 years' experience in fabrication environment.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 QA systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; strong drafting skills.
Strong communication skills.
Resourceful, independent, detail-oriented and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
Monitor compliance with applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Liaise with clients to interpret their needs and requirements.
Create technical drawings from specifications and calculations.
Prepare rough sketches and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
Prepare, review and draft drawings alongside the engineering team.
Identify and flag potential design problems to the team early.
