Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and related productivity tools.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a CBRE Construction Project Manager, you’ll oversee a team responsible for multiple construction projects for small to medium-sized clients. This role is part of the Construction Management function, ensuring all deliverables of construction projects are completed on time.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, set and track department deadlines, and mentor and coach as needed.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare construction risk assessments and project status reports, recommend release of construction funds, adjust project resource needs and disbursement schedules, and review agreements and submitted documents to ensure timelines are met.
  • Develop communication practices for stakeholders, identify and resolve project risks or issues.
  • Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and influence parties of shared interests to reach agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and its integration with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education may be considered. Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information; convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills, including calculations of percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
