Job summary

The Ministry of Law is seeking an experienced Experience & Interface Designer to support a digital transformation project. You will collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Managers and Engineers to translate business and user requirements into intuitive, user-centred digital experiences.

The role requires a balance of UX/UI design, user research, stakeholder management and technical awareness, including working with CAMP platform and OutSystems.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of UX/UI or product design experience.

Experience & Interface Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Experience & Interface Designer to support a digital transformation project with the Ministry of Law.

You will work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Managers and Engineers to translate business and user requirements into intuitive, user-centred digital experiences. The role requires a good balance of UX/UI design, user research, stakeholder management and technical awareness.

The successful candidate should be comfortable designing enterprise applications while considering platform constraints, accessibility, compliance and implementation feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers and Product Managers to translate business requirements into user-centred design solutions.

• Design intuitive user journeys, interfaces and digital experiences for enterprise applications.

• Work within the constraints of the CAMP platform and OutSystems to ensure designs are technically feasible and implementable.

• Collaborate closely with Backend Engineers and technical teams to support accurate implementation of designs.

• Conduct user research and interviews to understand user needs and inform design decisions.

• Conduct usability testing and validate design concepts with users.

• Synthesise research findings and translate insights into actionable design improvements.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by reviewing implemented interfaces against approved design specifications.

• Present and justify design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional project teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Approximately 4–6 years of relevant experience in UX/UI Design, Experience Design, Interaction Design, Product Design or a similar role.

• Strong experience designing digital applications and user interfaces.

• Experience translating business and user requirements into practical design solutions.

• Hands-on experience conducting user research, user interviews and/or usability testing.

• Ability to work effectively with developers and technical teams during design implementation.

• Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to balance user needs, business requirements and technical constraints.

Good to Have

• Experience designing government or enterprise applications.

• Understanding of accessibility and compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with OutSystems or other low-code/no-code platforms.

• Understanding of the design constraints and capabilities of low-code platforms.

• Familiarity with the Singapore Government Design System (SGDS) standards and guidelines.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and participating in sprint ceremonies.

• Experience supporting UAT or conducting design quality reviews after implementation.

Ideal Candidate

This role would suit a UX/UI or Product Designer who has experience working on complex digital applications rather than primarily marketing, branding or graphic design projects.

Candidates with experience in enterprise platforms, government digital services, user research, design systems, accessibility and low-code platforms such as OutSystems would be particularly relevant.
