Job summary

SMRT Corporation in Singapore seeks an Executive Engineer, Power to assist the Section Manager in ensuring safe and reliable train services through effective operation and maintenance of power equipment.

You will manage daily activities across 22kV AC distribution, 750V DC traction power, 415V service power, and UPS systems, perform fault analysis, provide technical guidance, and lead fault recovery and power system improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical field.
• Experience in power equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of SMRT power systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Section Manager in maintenance of 22kV AC, 750V DC, 415V AC, UPS systems.
• Conduct engineering analysis and fault investigations of power systems.
• Provide technical advice to assistant engineers and technical officers.
• Lead recovery and rectification of power system faults.
• Carry out 22kV switching and operation of SMRT 22kV AC Distribution System.
• Undertake projects in power equipment modification/retro-fit, condition monitoring and procedure improvement for power maintenance.

Job description

Job Purpose

The Executive Engineer, Power will assist the Section Manager and be responsible for the operations and maintenance of all Power Equipment in compliance with SMRT Quality Objective as stated in the Quality Procedure/ Work Instructions/ Work Records to provide a safe & reliable train service to our commuters.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of an Executive Engineer are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

1. Assist the Section Manager in managing maintenance home-base daily activities, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of the following systems:
   1. 22kV AC Distribution System
   2. 750V DC Traction Power System
   3. 415V AC Service Power System
   4. Uninterruptable Power Supply System
2. Assist the Section Manager in conducting engineering analysis and investigation of faults in power systems.
3. Assist the Section Manager in providing technical advice to the assistant engineer and technical officer.
4. Lead in the recovery and rectification of power systems faults.
5. Carry out authorized 22kV switching & operation of SMRT 22kV AC Distribution System.
6. Undertake projects in power equipment modification/retro-fit, condition monitoring and procedure improvement for power maintenance branch.

Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work.
