The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions a future-ready built environment for Singapore. This role administers and shapes building regulations and policies, reviewing submissions for safety, environmental sustainability, and barrier-free accessibility.

You will develop strategies, study data to guide policy decisions, and work with partner agencies to foster a pro-business, productive construction sector while enforcing Building Control Act.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Architecture or Building-related discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in building design or construction supervision is preferred.
• Expertise in a technical area under the Approved Document will be an advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Reviewing and approving building plan submissions, using technical knowledge to evaluate designs for safety, environmental sustainability, and barrier-free accessibility.
• Developing strategies, policies, and processes to ensure Singapore's building control framework remains robust and future-ready.
• Studying data and industry trends to support evidence-based policy decisions that shape how Singapore builds.
• Managing complex feedback cases and conducting investigations into potential violations of the Building Control Act and Regulations, taking appropriate enforcement action where needed.
• Working closely with partner agencies to create a pro-business environment that supports a thriving construction industry while ensuring construction productivity.
