Job summary

PacificLight Power Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage Azure cloud services, network and security design, and virtualization platforms.

The role involves administering Nutanix HCI, Windows/Linux environments, and backup solutions with a focus on security, high availability, and disaster recovery. On-site work at Singapore facilities with a 5-day week is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional certifications (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent) advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in network, cloud and system administration across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, secure, and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure for high availability and compliance.
• Design, architect and build network/firewall deployment solutions and automation.
• Administer network and security infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoints.
• Perform preventive maintenance and patch management for IT equipment; propose capacity upgrades.
• Provide diagnosis, resolution, and documentation for enterprise network support and management.
• Patch/upgrade security appliances to minimize risk; ensure backups per policy.
• Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Support endpoint-related incidents and service requests.
• Maintain SOPs and process documentation; participate in tech R&D for IT services.
• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Nutanix HCI for VMs.

Job description

• Manage, monitor, secure, and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance of cloud services and resources.
• Support in design, architect and build network and firewall deployment solutions, frameworks, automation and orchestration to secure IT System and Infrastructure.
• Management and administration of network and security infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, endpoint security, etc.
• Performance monitoring, preventive maintenance and patch management of IT equipment to ensure optimum performance. To propose capacity upgrade or replacement when required.
• Provide diagnoses, resolution, and documentation in all aspects of supporting, implementation and managing an enterprise network environment.
• Ensure existing infrastructure / security appliances / facilities are properly patched / upgraded timely to minimize security risk.
• Manage, monitor, and verify system and data backups, including routine backup jobs and restoration support in accordance with backup and retention policies.
• Develop, implement, test and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational resilience and minimal service disruption.
• Provide support for endpoint-related incidents and service requests.
• Maintain process documentation and follow approved standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation of IT services.
• Responsible for administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Nutanix HCI infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security of virtualized workloads.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualifications. Professional certifications in CCNA, CCNP or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in network, cloud and system administration, preferably in a multiple sites environment
• Knowledge and technical hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure technology and architecture, include networking devices such as firewall, VPN, IPS, switches, router, DHCP, TCP/IP, WIFI, and network security concepts.
• Working knowledge in supporting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting in areas such as OS (Windows and Linux), databases, applications, networking devices, storage devices, backup solution (Veeam or similar solution), firewalls, IDS/IPS, orchestration and virtualisation technologies, etc.
• Familiarity with Cloud Virtualisation technology like Azure, Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Services, Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, and remote access technology.
• Ability to maintain structure network cabling, i.e. patch panels etc.
• Customer focus with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, good collaborative team spirit, with a can-do attitude.
