Job summary

PATEC PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Data & BI Executive to shape how our organisation captures, manages, and leverages data to drive smarter decisions.

You will help establish a reliable data foundation for our Enterprise Data Platform and future AI initiatives. Reporting to the IT Director, you will work across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and HR to turn raw data into strategic assets and enable digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Data Analytics or related field.
• 1-3 years of BI, data management or analytics experience.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Strong data modelling, data visualisation and data quality knowledge.
• Experience with data governance, data stewardship or MD management preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP, MES or other enterprise systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

About the role

Data is the future of our business, and we are looking for a passionate Data & BI Executive to help build it. In this role, you won't just be creating reports, you'll be shaping how our entire organisation captures, manages, and leverages data to drive smarter decisions. You will play a pivotal part in establishing a reliable data foundation for our Enterprise Data Platform and future AI initiatives. Working across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR, you'll turn raw data into a strategic asset and enable our digital transformation journey. This role reports directly to the IT Director.

Key responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Data Visualisation

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and management information to support business and operational decision-making.
• Translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs, reports and data visualisations.
• Work with business users to understand reporting requirements and continuously improve existing dashboards.
• Ensure dashboards and reports are accurate, user-friendly and based on consistent data definitions.
• Support the development of standardised management and operational reporting across the organisation.

Data Management & Stewardship

• Act as a data steward for assigned business data domains.
• Maintain data definitions, data dictionaries, and data classification.
• Establish and maintain data quality standards and validation rules.
• Monitor data quality and identify issues relating to completeness, accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
• Support the establishment and enforcement of data governance standards across the organisation.

Data Capture & Digitalisation

• Review existing data capture processes and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, completeness and efficiency.
• Identify manual, paper-based or duplicated data capture activities and recommend appropriate digital solutions.
• Work with business functions to define data requirements and improve the quality of source data.
• Support the implementation of digital data collection solutions using appropriate tools.
• Establish appropriate validation and control mechanisms at the point of data capture.

Data Integration & Enterprise Data Platform

• Work with IT and system owners to identify data sources and requirements for the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Support the integration and consolidation of data from systems such as ERP, MES, SPC, HR and other business applications.
• Manage the ELT/ETL process and integration with the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Assist in defining data structures, mappings and transformation requirements.
• Ensure data used for reporting and analytics is consistent with agreed business definitions.
• Support testing and validation of data during system integration and migration projects.

Business Engagement

• Work closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and other business functions to understand their data and reporting requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business users and IT on data-related matters.
• Facilitate discussions with data owners and subject matter experts to establish common data definitions and requirements.
• Provide guidance to users on data quality and appropriate data usage.

Analytics & AI Enablement

• Prepare and structure reliable datasets to support advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
• Support the AI Workgroup in identifying and preparing suitable data for AI use cases.
• Assist in evaluating the availability, quality and suitability of data for proposed analytics and AI applications.
• Continuously identify opportunities where better data capture and management can enable automation, analytics and AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, data management, data analytics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data visualisation, and data quality principles.
• Experience with data governance, data stewardship, or master data management is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP, MES, or other enterprise business systems is an advantage.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Python, ETL/data integration tools, Microsoft Fabric, Power Apps, Power Automate.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
