About the Role

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support data management, dashboard development, project reporting and commercial activities across our group of companies.

You will consolidate information from multiple systems, develop dashboards and automated reporting tools, maintain project tracking data, and support costing and proposal preparation. Your work will provide management and business teams with accurate, timely and accessible information for operational and business decision-making.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear, practical insights and improving manual processes through automation.

Dashboard Development and Business Intelligence

• Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards for business and operational performance.
• Develop project dashboards covering progress, milestones, revenue, costs, profitability, resource utilisation, project health and completion status.
• Create dashboards for Finance, Operations, Sales, Projects, Human Resources, Fleet, Sustainability and other business functions.
• Track key performance indicators such as revenue, gross margin, equipment utilisation, manpower productivity, sales pipeline and project pipeline.
• Develop automated reporting tools that consolidate information from different subsidiaries and systems.
• Create clear, user-friendly data visualisations for management and operational teams.
• Enhance dashboards and reports based on changing business needs and stakeholder feedback.

Data Integration and Management

• Consolidate data from ERP systems, accounting software, Excel workbooks and operational databases.
• Develop automated data workflows to reduce manual reporting and improve efficiency.
• Clean, validate and standardise data from different business units.
• Maintain master datasets, reporting structures and dashboard databases.
• Maintain project master trackers covering budgets, milestones, resource allocation, project status and other key information.
• Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies across reporting systems.

Reporting Support

• Prepare recurring operational and management reports accurately and on schedule.
• Compile datasets for management meetings, budgeting and business planning.
• Support ad hoc data extraction and reporting requirements from different departments.
• Document data sources, dashboard logic and reporting methodologies.

Commercial and Costing Support

• Prepare and maintain costing models, pricing sheets and project cost calculations.
• Support tender submissions, quotations, commercial proposals and client presentation materials.
• Consolidate technical, operational and financial information required for proposals.
• Maintain standard costing templates, proposal templates and commercial documents.
• Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Procurement and Business Development teams to obtain the required information.
• Maintain historical costing, pricing and tender data for future reference.

Process Improvement

• Establish data validation and quality-control processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and business workflows.
• Recommend improvements to reporting processes, dashboard functionality and data management practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve the quality and accessibility of business information.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query and Power Pivot.
• Ability to organise, clean, validate and analyse data from multiple sources.
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to prepare or maintain costing models.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders from different business functions.
• Ability to handle sensitive commercial, employee and financial information with confidentiality.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or another business intelligence platform.
• Familiarity with ERP, accounting or project management systems.
• Experience developing dashboards or automating reporting processes.
• Experience supporting project costing, tender submissions or commercial proposals.
