Job summary

GP Hotel Management Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team across our hotels. You will plan, hire, train, deploy staff and handle crises while ensuring top-tier cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

You will also oversee inspections, inventory control, vendor management, and the implementation of best practices and technologies in hospitality. A strong, professional demeanor and a team-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a supervisory level in the hospitality industry is a must.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Ideal candidate shows professionalism and consistently high standards of service and room cleanliness.
• Comfortable using workplace technology and operational reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage HR functions including planning, hiring, training, deployment, discipline and crises.
• Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures; plan HSK department work.
• Conduct regular room and public-area inspections and audits to meet hotel standards.
• Handle guest complaints and feedback to improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Maintain hotel inventory and control manpower and inventory costs, including outsourced services.
• Manage vendors and contractors, such as laundry, and ensure service quality.
• Ensure cleanliness, orderliness and presentation of the hotel.
• Analyze and adopt best practices and technology in hospitality.
• Ensure workplace safety, hygiene, waste management and sustainability compliance.
• Recommend innovations to enhance customer experience.
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis and on-the-job training; evaluate effectiveness.
• Train the trainers (HSK Supervisors) to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare management reports and oversee HSK operations across multiple hotels if needed.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage human resource capital including planning, hiring, training, deployment, disciplinary and crisis situations etc.
• Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures. Plan the work of the Housekeeping Department and assign tasks accordingly.
• Conduct regular room inspections, public-area inspections and housekeeping audits to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
• Handle guest complaints, monitor cleanliness-related feedback and implement corrective actions to improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Maintain hotel inventory.
• Control manpower and inventory costs, including outsourced housekeeping services.
• Manage vendors, contractors, service providers, eg. Laundry company etc.
• Responsible for the cleanliness, orderliness and presentation of hotel.
• Analyze and recommend best practices and technology in hospitality.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, chemical handling, hygiene, waste management and hotel sustainability requirements.
• Recommend innovations to enhance customer experience.
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis and organize on-the-job training. Thereafter, evaluate its effectiveness.
• Train the trainers, i.e. the Housekeeping Supervisors, to ensure housekeeping standards are in compliance.
• Prepare reports for Management information.
• Where required, oversee housekeeping operations across multiple hotels and ensure consistent standards, reporting and best practices.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping experience in a Supervisory level in the hospitality industry a must. Training experience would be advantageous.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal. Ability to converse in other languages will be advantageous.
• The ideal candidate will need to exhibit professionalism and the ability to demonstrate consistently high quality of service and upkeep room cleanliness.
• Comfortable using workplace technology and operational reporting tools.
