Job summary

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore champions a future-ready built environment by regulating building safety and transforming the sector. We seek resourceful individuals who will actively contribute to Singapore’s built environment.

You will administer building regulations and shape strategies for a future-ready Built Environment Sector, review policies, enhance processes, and approve building plans with a focus on safety, sustainability and accessibility.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in consultancy and design.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a team and possess eagerness to learn.
• Motivated and fast learner.
• Candidates who possess professional certification, or strong technical/BIM knowledge will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing/developing strategies and policies in relation to the Building Control Regulations (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing).
• Enhancing processes and managing operations under the Building Control Regulations (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing); including IT system development and collaboration with related agencies.
• Approving submissions on building plans including designs related to safety, environmental sustainability and barrier-free accessibility.

What you will be working on

You will play a major role in administering building regulations and developing new strategies that will shape a future-ready Built Environment Sector. You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing/developing strategies and policies in relation to the Building Control (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing) Regulations,

• Enhancing processes and managing operations under the BC (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing) Regulations; which includes facilitating a pro-business environment, which include IT system development and working closely with related agencies.

• Approving submissions on building plans including the designs related to safety, environmental sustainability and barrier-free accessibility;

What we are looking for
