Job description

Role Overview

The Events Manager owns the events business across Milli and Bae's: revenue, pipeline, team and delivery standards. Building on the Senior Events Executive scope, this role moves from executing events to leading the function, setting strategy, growing private-event and buy-out revenue, and ensuring every event reflects the club's brand and service standards.

The Events Manager reports to the General Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing and leads the events team, including the Senior Events Executive, Events Executives and events interns. The role works closely with Operations, Culinary, Bar, Marketing, Finance and Membership, and externally with corporate clients, members, agencies, AV and decor vendors, entertainers and brand partners.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Revenue Growth
  • Own the annual events revenue budget and forecast for Milli and Bae's, delivering against monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Develop the events sales strategy across corporate, private, member and brand-partnership segments.
  • Set and review event pricing, minimum spends, packages and buy-out rates in line with seasonality and demand.
  • Design signature event formats and seasonal programming (festive, year-end, product launches, member nights) to drive repeat business.
  • Monitor competitor venues and market trends, and recommend new products, partnerships and packages.
Sales & Key Account Management
  • Lead the events sales pipeline: approve proposals, negotiate contracts and close high-value and complex enquiries personally.
  • Build and manage key accounts, corporate partners and event agencies to secure repeat and long-term bookings.
  • Lead site inspections and pitches for VIP, large-scale and full-venue buy-out events.
  • Drive proactive prospecting and outbound sales, including networking, industry events and referral programmes.
  • Set the upselling approach (beverage upgrades, extended hours, entertainment, premium F&B) and coach the team to execute it.
  • Ensure CRM discipline across the team, with accurate pipeline stages, conversion tracking and client touchpoints.
Event Delivery & Quality
  • Oversee the full event calendar, allocating spaces and resources to maximise revenue and avoid clashes with regular club operations.
  • Approve all BEOs, floor plans, run sheets and contracts before release.
  • Personally lead flagship, VIP and high-profile events, acting as senior escalation point on the day.
  • Set event service standards and SOPs, ensuring consistency with the club's brand and guest experience.
  • Handle client escalations, complaints and service recovery, protecting client relationships and venue reputation.
  • Ensure events comply with licensing, noise, capacity, safety and security requirements.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach and manage the events team, including the Senior Events Executive and Events Executives.
  • Set individual KPIs and sales targets, conduct performance reviews and support career development.
  • Recruit, onboard and train new team members on systems, SOPs and sales techniques.
  • Plan team rostering to ensure event coverage, including evenings, weekends and peak periods.
  • Build a high-performance, guest-first culture within the events team.
Operations, Finance & Vendor Management
  • Manage the events department budget, controlling costs and protecting event margins.
  • Negotiate preferred-vendor agreements and rates with AV, florists, decor, entertainment and production partners.
  • Oversee billing accuracy, deposits, payment terms and post-event reconciliation, resolving disputes with Finance.
  • Own monthly and quarterly reporting: revenue, pipeline, conversion rate, average spend, margins and client feedback.
  • Present performance, insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Review and improve booking processes, templates, contracts and systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Culinary and Bar leadership to develop event menus, beverage packages and pricing that are profitable and operationally feasible.
  • Work with Operations to align event schedules with daily club service, staffing and venue maintenance.
  • Partner with Marketing on event campaigns, collateral, social media and case studies to drive enquiries.
  • Work with Membership (where applicable) to create member-exclusive events and enhance member engagement.
  • Represent the events function in management meetings and contribute to wider business planning.
  • Others ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators

Success in this role will be measured by events revenue against budget, enquiry-to-booking conversion and pipeline value, average spend per head and upsell rate, and event margins. It will also be measured by client satisfaction, repeat and referral bookings, accuracy of BEOs and billing, and the performance, development and retention of the events team.

Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Events Management, Business or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of events experience in clubs, luxury hospitality, hotels or premium F&B, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding events revenue targets of 2.5million.
  • Strong network of corporate clients, agencies and event vendors in Singapore is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of F&B, beverage programmes, AV and event production.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and client relationship skills.
  • Commercially minded, comfortable with budgets, pricing, forecasting and P&L.
  • Experienced in CRM and event booking systems (e.g. SevenRooms, Tripleseat or similar) and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
  • Calm, decisive leader under pressure, with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays according to the event calendar.
