Job summary

Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking a dedicated custodial worker to perform routine cleaning across multiple school facilities. The role includes cleaning cafeterias, classrooms, bathrooms, halls, and setting up spaces for events, with training provided on cleaning tools and safety.

Qualifications

• GED or some high school required.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Some custodial experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Clean cafeteria after lunch, mop cafeteria and realign chairs.
• Pick up paper and trash in bathrooms and hallways, clean up spills.
• Dust each room high and low, sweep and mop floors.
• Wash windows, dust and clean chalkboards daily.
• Secure and lock all classrooms and outside doors at day end.
• Set up for events and meetings in cafeteria, auditorium, library.
