Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced EV workshop technician to diagnose, service and repair electric vehicles, following manufacturer standards and strict safety practices. The role is hands-on and requires a proactive problem-solver in a busy workshop.

You will diagnose HV systems, batteries, inverters and charging hardware, provide guidance to fellow technicians, help expand EV repair capabilities and ensure quality repairs in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma in automotive or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of EV diagnosis, maintenance and repair experience.
• Hands-on experience with HV systems, EV batteries, inverters, motors and charging systems.
• Knowledge of EV safety procedures and HV isolation.
• Experience with hybrid and battery electric vehicles.
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.
• Safety-conscious and quality-focused.
• Ability to work independently or with workshop teams.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, servicing and repair of electric vehicles in accordance with relevant manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot high-voltage (HV) systems, battery packs, electric motors, inverters, charging systems and other EV components.
• Carry out HV isolation and related safety procedures to ensure repairs are performed safely and appropriately.
• Provide technical guidance and support to workshop technicians on EV repair, diagnostics and safety procedures.
• Support the expansion of EV repair and servicing capabilities.
• Support the establishment and enhancement of EV workshop capabilities, including equipment requirements and process improvements.
• Assist customers by explaining repair findings, technical issues and recommended maintenance where required.
• Work closely with the Workshop Manager and technical team to ensure efficient workshop operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Workshop Manager or Management.

Job Requirements:

• With 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in electric vehicle diagnosis, maintenance and repair.

• Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems, EV batteries, inverters, electric motors and charging systems.

• Practical knowledge of EV safety procedures, HV isolation and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.

• Experience working with hybrid and battery electric vehicles.

• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.

• Responsible and safety-conscious, with a strong focus on quality.

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with workshop and technical teams.
