Job summary

Mitsubishi HC Capital Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Experienced Senior EV Engineer to diagnose, repair and optimize electric vehicle systems across our workshop network.

The role focuses on HV safety, battery management, inverters, chargers, and vehicle control systems while mentoring technicians and developing robust EV procedures. You will perform HV battery diagnosis, vehicle diagnostics, post-repair programming, calibration, and commissioning as required, supporting diverse EV brands

Qualifications

  • 15–20 years of automotive experience and 10–15 years hands-on EV experience.
  • Experience diagnosing HV EV systems and EV workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair EVs independently.
  • Handle complex EV electrical and electronic system faults, including HV systems, battery systems, BMS, inverter, motor, onboard charger, DC/DC converter, charging systems, and vehicle control systems.
  • Perform HV battery diagnosis, testing, isolation, repair/replacement, and related safety procedures.
  • Carry out vehicle diagnostic scanning, fault-code analysis, electrical measurements, wiring and circuit troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose intermittent and complicated EV electrical problems and determine the root cause.
  • Perform post-repair programming, calibration, system reset, and vehicle commissioning where required.
  • Support accident repair involving EVs, including HV system isolation, battery-related inspection, and post-repair checks.
  • Develop EV diagnostic and repair procedures for the workshop.
  • Provide technical support for different EV brands, especially Chinese EV brands such as BYD, Geely, NIO, XPeng, GAC Aion, Zeekr, etc.
  • Train and guide existing technicians on EV diagnosis, repair procedures, HV safety, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Conduct practical hands-on training and transfer technical knowledge to the workshop team.
  • Evaluate new EV technologies, tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair methods.
  • Provide technical recommendations to management regarding EV repair capability, equipment, and training requirements.
