Etch Equipment Engineer: Optimize Semiconductor Equipment

Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore is seeking an Etch Equipment Engineer to troubleshoot equipment-related problems, minimize downtime, and support preventive maintenance.

You will coordinate new equipment hookups, optimize spares stock, and drive CIP projects, working with Process and Production Engineers to meet KPIs. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering and 2+ years in semiconductor equipment, with hands-on skills in etch tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years relevant Equipment/Field service experience in semiconductor industry.
• Familiar with LAM Rainbow 4420 or LAM9400SE/PTX/DFM/DSIE or LAM2300 Coronus/Syndion Dry Etching equipment.
• Experience in SPC, FDC, APC, DOE and yield analysis software advantageous.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good team player.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and dedication to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Systematic troubleshooting of equipment-related problems to minimize downtime.
• Establish optimum spares and consumables stock to support maintenance.
• Set up effective preventive maintenance program and troubleshooting guide.
• Coordinate new equipment hookup, startup and release.
• Drive CIP projects to achieve best-in-class quality and cost.
• Train and certify technicians in systematic troubleshooting and PM maintenance.
• Collaborate with Process and Production Engineers to meet KPIs.
