Job summary

EdelmanNEXT offers a full-time, six-month internship aimed at building foundational skills for aspiring communications professionals. You will learn by doing, supporting client service teams and working on financial services accounts under guidance.

You will be mentored by a coach, engage with Edelman and Edelman Smithfield colleagues, and gain hands-on experience shaping strategic communications in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for communications and financial services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive with ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Organizational skills with multi-account exposure.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube).

Responsibilities

• Draft press releases, media lists, fact sheets, briefing documents and more.
• Learn the basics of your clients’ business and media targets.
• Conduct research for new business pitches and support pitch decks when required.
• Update media lists and pitch media contacts under supervision.
• Stay up to date on industry news and trends.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions.
• Assist with press kits and research projects.
