Job summary

TECH MAHINDRA LIMITED (Singapore Branch) is seeking an ESG Data Analyst in Singapore covering the APAC time zone to support service ownership and drive continuous improvement of our operational processes.

You will analyze ESG data, ensure data quality across investment and market datasets, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet evolving data needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance with IT background or related experience.
• Strong ESG and financial data knowledge with data analysis skills.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL/PL/SQL) and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate and analyze ESG data from internal and external sources.
• QA data sets (investment, company and market) for high-quality downstream services.
• Identify process improvements and coordinate with experts across departments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and ensure accuracy.
• Stay updated on ESG trends, regulations and best practices for quality.
• Define KPIs and steer service providers for daily operations.
• Investigate data in response to complex client inquiries.
• Participate in projects to onboard new data sources or client requirements.

ESG Data Analyst - APAC

Job Purpose/ Role

Weare looking for an ESG Data Analyst located in Singapore covering the APAC time zone who is able to take over service ownership and support the continuous improvement of our operational processes.

Weare responsible for delivering reliable services in a dynamic environment and support one of the worlds leading financial institutions on their sustainability journey. In this role you will gain deep insights into the underlying data model of a major financial company, from a technical as well as a business perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate and analyze Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)data from various internal and external sources


• Perform quality assurance of all relevant data sets (investment, company and market data) for providing downstream services with high-quality data


• Proactively identify process improvements and work with experts from other departments to ensure the continuous improvement of our services


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify data needs and ensure data accuracy


• Stay up to date with ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to assure the quality of our services


• Drive the definition of KPIs and steering of our service provider to effectively run our day-to-day Operations


• Perform data investigations related to complex client inquiries


• Participate in projects, e.g. to implement new client requirements or onboard new data sources

Key Requirements/ Skills/ Experience

• University degree related to finance with IT-background and/ or work experience in this area


• In-depth financial know-how, especially in the context of investment and ESG or sustainability data


• High data affinity and experience in data analysis, preferably with relational databases (SQL, PL/SQL)


• Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies


• Proactivity, creativity and strong sense of responsibility and service attitude


• Experience in working with or management of service providers is an advantage


• Team player mentality, creativity and problem-solving mentality


• Fluent in English.
