Job summary

Selby Jennings, a trading style of Phaidon International, is seeking an experienced Equity Analyst/Investment Director to join its investment team in Singapore with primary responsibility for China equities. You will conduct bottom-up research, build robust models, and present high-conviction ideas to support long-term value creation.

Ideal candidates bring 10–15 years in equity analysis, a track record covering China stocks, and fluency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• At least 10–15 years of experience in equity analysis or related fields.
• Prior coverage of China equities is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CFA/CPA/MBA preferred.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth, bottom-up research on Chinese equities across relevant sectors and markets, including company analysis, industry research, and competitive positioning.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworks to support investment recommendations and risk-return assessment.
• Identify, develop, and present high-conviction investment ideas aligned with a long-term, fundamental investment philosophy.
• Monitor existing portfolio holdings, track company and sector developments, and provide ongoing analysis to support portfolio management decisions.
• Prepare written investment notes, research updates, and presentations for internal discussion, contributing actively to investment meetings and portfolio reviews.
