Responsibilities

• Oversee EPI and Thermal Processes including Poly, RTA, LTO
• Resolve issues to ensure wafer quality, quantity, and cost
• Manage EPI and Thermal Process Teams and resources
• Handle staff admin and process docs
• Review and approve docs per signature regs
• Collaborate with global Tech for process alignment
• Apply 8D, Fishbone, DOE; perform FMEA risk analyses
• Maintain docs: manufacturing, training, SPC, FMEA records
• Improve safety and environmental goals; update JHAs
• Submit monthly activity reports to supervisor
• Report to Head of Department/Director/VP Technology

Job Title: Epitaxy Section Head / Manager
Location: Tampines
Working Day: Monday - Friday
Working Hours: 8.00 am- 5.30 pm
Basic: up to $8,000

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for EPI and Thermal Processes, including Poly, RTA, LTO, and driving process stability and continuous improvements with the team.
• Decide on appropriate actions to resolve issues and defects related to EPI and Thermal Processes under his/her supervision, ensuring the required quality, quantity, and cost of wafers produced.
• Manage the EPI and Thermal Process Teams and plan the resources required to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Responsible for staff-related administrative matters in addition to process-related responsibilities.
• Review and approve documents in accordance with internal signature regulations.
• Collaborate with global Technology counterparts on process alignment and the qualification of new processes, suppliers, and consumables where required.
• Apply problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and DOE, as well as risk analysis tools such as FMEA.
• Supervise the administration and maintenance of documentation for the assigned section, including manufacturing documents, training documents, SPC manuals, FMEAs, and related records.
• Contribute to improving safety in production areas and processes, as well as environmental goals defined by SSG management. This includes ensuring that JHAs are updated and relevant.
• Summarize activities and submit monthly reports to the supervisor.
• Report directly to the Head of Department / Director / VP Technology.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Materials Science, Microelectronics, or Physical Sciences (Chemistry or Physics). A Master’s Degree or Ph.D. is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge and experience in EPI and/or Thermal Processes, with preferably more than 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Ability to motivate, manage, and develop a team. Prior team leadership experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of quality management systems, data analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Proficiency in statistical software such as JMP. Knowledge of Visual Basic, databases, and queries will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High sense of responsibility and ownership. Able to work independently as well as effectively in a team.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
