Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics or Life Sciences.
• Experience in molecular microbiology and multi-omics research methods.
• Experience analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, metabolomic or related datasets.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics workflows for amplicon sequencing or metagenomics.
• Experience with microbial culture systems; exposure to bioreactor operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of modelling approaches in metabolism, ecology, statistics, or related fields.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative microbial research using multi-omics approaches.
• Perform laboratory-based molecular microbiology experiments, including microbial cultivation.
• Analyse and interpret complex biological datasets using computational tools.
• Develop and apply metabolic, ecological, statistical, or related computational models.
• Support operation and maintenance of microbial culture systems and bioreactors.
• Prepare research reports, documents, manuscripts and presentations.
• Collaborate with researchers and external stakeholders across teams.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure safety and governance compliance.
• Contribute to grant applications, project reporting and dissemination of findings.
