Job summary

National University of Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant/Associate to join a project integrating multi-omics analysis with machine learning for drug target discovery at Duke-NUS CBDS. You will perform data analysis, develop ML/AI algorithms, and apply single-cell/spatial transcriptomics. Collaboration with the Systems Genetics group under Prof.

Petretto, in Outram Campus, Singapore. Candidates with strong coding in R/Python and HPC experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in bioinformatics, computational biology, ML/AI, CS, physics, statistics, mathematics, biology or medicine.
• Experience developing/applying algorithms for multi-omics data integration.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python with exposure to Bash and multiprocessing.
• Familiarity with HPC and GPU programming.
• Strong teamwork and ability to manage multiple priorities in a diverse environment.
• Solid understanding of genetics and genomics (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project.
• Carry out data analysis and algorithmic development, including single-cell and spatial transcriptomics.
• Implement state-of-the-art ML/AI improvements for multi-omics analyses.
• Develop deep learning algorithms, from theory to implementation, for drug target discovery.
