Job summary

ABS Connect in Singapore is seeking a Java Developer with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL, and Kafka to develop and support enterprise applications in production environments, with exposure to banking and transaction-processing systems.

You will design, build, and maintain core applications, implement secure RESTful APIs, optimize queries, and participate in CI/CD with Jenkins and containerized deployments on OpenShift/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong SQL skills and query optimization.
• Hands-on Kafka experience.
• Production support experience in banking/transaction systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with secure authentication and error handling.
• Write and optimize SQL queries; troubleshoot database issues.
• Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution.
