Job summary

The Lentor Residence Pte Ltd is seeking a Staff Nurse to assist in delivering nursing care to residents and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

You will perform rounds with the supervising nurse, assist in admissions and orientations, organize therapies, coordinate medical check-ups, and document care accurately. Enrolled with SNB and an ITE certificate are required; a diploma/degree (foreign-trained) is preferred. This on-site role offers opportunities to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Enrolled with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
• ITE Certificate in Nursing required
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing (foreign-trained) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Staff Nurse in delivering nursing care to residents
• Provide quality nursing care per approved standards
• Assist in new admission assessment and orientation
• Carry out nursing rounds with the Staff Nurse
• Assist residents in taking medications
• Initiate first response in emergencies and alert the Staff Nurse
• Organise residents for prescribed therapies
• Coordinate medical check-ups and arrange transport
• Maintain accurate documentation of care given
• Supervise junior care staff to ensure comfort and hygiene
• Check, monitor and record residents’ vital signs
• Assist in transferring and positioning non-ambulant residents
• Assist in serving diets and feeding residents
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Staff Nurse or Nurse Manager

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Staff Nurse (SN) in delivering nursing care to the clients and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Care Delivery

• Provide quality nursing care with compliance to approved standards of nursing practices.
• Assist SN in new admission assessment and orientation.
• Carry out nursing rounds with the SN.
• Assist SN in ensuring client take their medicines.
• Initiate activities as first responder at emergency situations; alerts and supports the SN.
• Organize and send residents for appropriate therapy as prescribed.
• Coordinate clients’ medical check-ups & arrange transport.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care given.

Supervisory Duties

Supervise junior care staff to:

• Ensure comfort and good personal hygiene of the residents under his/her care.
• Check, monitor and record residents’ vital signs.
• Assist in the transferring and positioning of non-ambulant residents.
• Assist in serving diets and feeding residents.

Other Duty

• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the SN or Nurse Manager.
