Job summary

The Singapore Cheshire Home invites applications for a Nursing Assistant to support residents and participate in daily care activities in our clinic and treatment rooms. You will assist in wound management, medication administration, meals, mobility assistance, and transportation coordination, while documenting patient progress in the Care Management System.

This role requires a National ITE Certificate in Nursing, SNB enrollment, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and the ability to rotate

Qualifications

• National ITE Certificate in Nursing.
• Enrolled with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
• Able to perform rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assume shift or night duties or be on call whenever necessary.
• Assist in wound management and tracking of wound progress; assist in assessing, documentation and reporting of wound condition to Nursing Officers in managing wound outcome.
• Pack, prepare and serve oral medication, topical application and subcutaneous injections.
• Assist the Nursing Officers in nursing rounds by preparing the required documents.
• Assist in arranging residents to attend medical appointments, such as scheduling appointments, assigning care staff to accompany residents and arranging transportation.
• Prepare and arrange dressing trolleys.
• Ensure medical supplies and consumables are sufficient.
• Tidy up the clinic including Treatment room and Medication room.
• Serving and feeding of residents on Nasogastric / PEG tube.
• Supervise and assist care staff in handling toileting needs.
• Perform daily bladder washout for residents with Indwelling catheter.
• Assist the Nursing Officers to handle any emergency.
• Attend to emails, telephone calls and phone messages.
• Assist in recording cash donations and/or donations-in-kind in the record book provided.
• Assist in performing COVID clearance tests such as ART.
• Assist in migration of computer digitalisation when necessary.
• Timely documentation in the Care Management System.
• To perform any other tasks assigned by CNO and NOs.

• Prepare and arrange dressing trolleys.
• Ensure medical supplies and consumables are sufficient.
• Tidy up the clinic including Treatment room and Medication room.
