Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Write Edge in Singapore is seeking a curriculum leader to own and scale our Secondary English programme. You will lead 1–2 writers, collaborate with teachers, and still teach several classes to stay connected with the classroom.
You will develop scope, sequence, lessons, assessments and rubrics that teachers can deploy immediately, differentiate for mixed abilities, and ensure quality across centres and online. You’ll guide teams and help grow student numbers.
Singapore’s move to the new SEC examination is the biggest change to Secondary English in years, and we’re rebuilding our Secondary curriculum for it. We’re looking for someone to own that curriculum: what we teach, how teachers deliver it, and how it scales across Singapore and the region. You’ll lead 1–2 writers, work closely with our teachers, and still teach so you stay close to the classroom.
Own the scope and sequence and the long‑term roadmap for our Secondary 1–4 English programme
Keep it aligned with the MOE syllabus and SEC assessment requirements
Improve it continuously using classroom performance, teacher feedback and student results.
Write lessons, worksheets, assessments, rubrics and answer keys that a teacher can run tomorrow with no clarification needed
Differentiate for mixed abilities without losing rigour
Quality‑assure everything that goes into the classroom.
Guide 1–2 curriculum writers on quality and deadlines
Brief and calibrate teachers so delivery is consistent across centres and online
Teach 5–8 classes a week initially, reducing to 2 as the programme grows
Help grow our Secondary programme. Our goal is to triple student numbers over the next 3 years
Understand the business behind the curriculum: how trials, conversion, retention, class sizes and pricing drive growth, and use that to shape what you build
Work with Operations and Marketing on trial lessons, programme materials and campaigns that bring students in and keep them.
Adapt the curriculum for our regional needs
3+ years in Secondary English teaching or curriculum development (Singapore context)
Strong knowledge of the MOE Secondary English syllabus and the SEC/O‑Level assessment format
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading
Commercially curious: comfortable working with numbers, or keen to learn how an education business grows (we’ll teach you)
Experience turning curriculum into engaging, classroom‑ready materials
Organised and reliable, able to hit deadlines across multiple projects
Experience training, coaching or briefing teachers
Curriculum work across online and in‑person classes, or across markets
Confident, thoughtful use of AI tools in content development
Experience leading or mentoring writers
