Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery) based at Tuas.

The role handles distillation processes to recover product from spent waste, operates under strict safety parameters, and coordinates with the Laboratory for sampling and SOP adherence. Candidate should possess a NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology, with proficiency in MS Office and internet research, and be able to work overtime or shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, internet research).
• Able to perform overtime/shift work.

Responsibilities

• Operate at the distillation process plant to recover product from waste materials.
• Ensure distillation plant operates within safe parameters and follows SOPs.
• Supervise safe transfer of flammable materials and coordinate with Laboratory for sampling.
• Maintain storage capacity and proper storage of products; assist in resale coordination.
• Record process data, report deviations, and collaborate with Engineering to resolve issues.

Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery)

• Location: Tuas

• (Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate travel to work by themselves)

• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am – 8pm, Night: 8pm – 8am)

• Basic salary: $1,900 – $2,700 (Entitled to overtime / shift work allowances) + Sign-on bonus (T&C apply)

Requirements

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.

• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research).

• Able to perform overtime/shift work.
  

Responsibilities:

• To work at distillation process plant to make sure distil spent waste material into product.

• To ensure distillation process plant operates in safe operation parameters.

• To ensure the safety of the transferring of the flammable material.

• To ensure close co-ordination with the Laboratory for waste/product sampling.

• To ensure the following up of the SOP.

• To co-ordinate closely with the Laboratory & resale team for the re-sell items.

• To ensure there is sufficient storage capacity, and the product safely stored and treated.

• To ensure the performance and efficiency of distillation process plant in terms of the recovery yield and utilities consumption.

• Startup/shut down operation of distillation process plant according to SOP.

• Record process data and report any deviations.

• Identify and rectify process upset and equipment malfunction timely.

• Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and implement preventive measures.

• conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards. Ensure safe handling of materials that are flammable.

• To participate training program to enhance chemical and safety knowledge.

• To cover the 5S and safety job for the department.
