Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery) to operate a distillation process plant in Tuas.

The role offers standard work hours with rotating day/night shifts and a basic salary plus overtime allowances and a sign-on bonus. You will ensure safe operation, coordinate with labs, and support waste-to-product recovery while maintaining SOP compliance. The ideal candidate holds a NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, is proficient with MS

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, internet).
• Able to perform overtime and shift work.

Responsibilities

• Work at distillation process plant to convert spent waste material into product.
• Ensure distillation plant operates within safe parameters.
• Ensure safe handling of flammable materials during transfer.
• Coordinate closely with Laboratory for waste/product sampling.
• Follow up on SOPs for the department.
• Coordinate with Laboratory & resale team for re-sell items.
• Ensure sufficient storage capacity and safe storage of products.
• Monitor distillation performance and utilities consumption.
• Start up/shut down distillation process per SOP.
• Record process data and report deviations.
• Identify and rectify process upsets and equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards.

Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery)

Location: Tuas

(Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate travel to work by themselves)

Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm); Saturday (8am - 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am - 8pm, Night: 8pm - 8am)

Basic salary: $1,900 - $2,700 (Entitled to overtime / shift work allowances) + Sign-on bonus (T&C apply)

Requirements

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research).
• Able to perform overtime/shift work.

Responsibilities

• To work at distillation process plant to make sure distil spent waste material into product.
• To ensure distillation process plant operates in safe operation parameters.
• To ensure the safety of the transferring of the flammable material.
• To ensure close co-ordination with the Laboratory for waste/product sampling.
• To ensure the following up of the SOP.
• To co-ordinate closely with the Laboratory & resale team for the re-sell items.
• To ensure there is sufficient storage capacity, and the product safely stored and treated.
• To ensure the performance and efficiency of distillation process plant in terms of the recovery yield and utilities consumption.
• Startup/shut down operation of distillation process plant according to SOP.
• Record process data and report any deviations.
• Identify and rectify process upset and equipment malfunction timely.
• Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and implement preventive measures.
• conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards. Ensure safe handling of materials that are flammable.
• To participate training program to enhance chemical and safety knowledge.
• To cover the 5S and safety job for the department.
