Job summary

Baker Hughes Company in Singapore seeks an Engineering Senior Team Leader for Customer Application Engineering. You will lead the Customer Application Engineering team, translating client needs into compliant, competitive solutions and coordinating with commercial and execution functions to drive successful tenders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Eight or more years of relevant engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in wellhead and casing systems, SSWE, subsea tooling, PCC, or related fields.
• Proven ITO or tender execution experience including customer requirements, proposals and risk management.
• Ability to interpret engineering docs and standards, integrating broader product expertise.
• Strong cross-functional and global communication skills to balance compliance, risk, cost and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Customer Application Engineering team, including workload, priorities and capability.
• Provide technical leadership and governance for ITO opportunities across SSWE and subsea tooling.
• Translate customer requirements into compliant, competitive solutions with defined scope and risks.
• Review tender deliverables including BOMs, drawings, specifications, ITPs and compliance docs.
• Align global experts to address complex opportunities and equipment interfaces.
• Lead customer technical engagement and coordinate with Sales and Commercial on scope, cost and schedule.
• Ensure effective ITO-to-OTR handover and drive quality, HSE and continuous improvement.

As an Engineering Senior Team Leader - ITO, you will lead the Customer Application Engineering team across WCS, translating customer requirements into compliant, competitive, and executable solutions. You will develop team capability, align global technical contributors, manage tender risk, and coordinate with commercial and execution functions through effective ITO-to-OTR handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Customer Application Engineering team, including workload, priorities, and capability.
• Provide technical leadership and governance for ITO opportunities across SSWE, subsea wellhead tools, and PCC.
• Translate customer requirements into compliant, competitive solutions with clearly defined scope, assumptions, interfaces, qualifications, deviations, and risks.
• Review and approve key tender deliverables, including technical proposals, Bills of Materials, drawings, specifications, ITPs, and compliance documentation.
• Align global product, engineering, and subject-matter experts to address complex or non-standard opportunities and equipment interfaces.
• Lead customer technical engagement and partner with Sales and Commercial on scope, cost, schedule, and tender strategy.
• Confirm solution executability with Projects, Services, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and other delivery functions.
• Ensure effective ITO-to-OTR handover and drive standardization, lessons learned, quality, HSE, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
• Have typically eight or more years of relevant engineering experience, including technical leadership or team development.
• Bring experience in wellhead and casing systems, SSWE, subsea tooling, PCC, subsea production systems, or a related application or project engineering field.
• Demonstrate successful ITO or tender execution, including customer requirements, proposals, compliance, clarifications, deviations, and risk.
• Interpret engineering documentation and applicable standards, with strong knowledge of at least one WCS product area and the ability to integrate broader expertise.
• Communicate and influence effectively across global, cross-functional teams while balancing technical compliance, risk, cost, competitiveness, and schedule.
