Job summary

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing agile squad delivering scalable digital services for Singapore’s land transport operations and enforcement functions.

You will partner with Product Managers, Designers and Scrum Masters to drive engineering best practices, ensure consistent sprint delivery and high code quality across Java, C++, and OutSystems on AWS and Azure.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in engineering leadership or people management.
Strong hands-on background in Java and C++, with experience in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and microservices.
Experience deploying and operating production systems on AWS and Azure, with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Excellent communication and ability to translate complex technical issues for leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day sprint delivery for a dedicated agile engineering squad.
Translate product roadmaps into technical epics and user stories with Product Owners and Designers.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage squad capacity, clear blockers, and track flow metrics.
Define deployment practices, infrastructure architecture, and governance across multi-cloud platforms.
