Job summary

BeeX is seeking an Engineering Lead to own the mechanical design and integration of our HAUV/AUV platforms, from concept through field deployment. You will lead a team of mechanical and mechatronics engineers, driving design decisions on pressure housings, propulsion, and payload integration, and collaborate closely with electrical and software teams to bring vehicles from workshop to water.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical/Marine/Offshore Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience, with direct work on ROVs/AUVs or subsea systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic interfaces for mechanical-electrical integration.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team and ability to travel for field trials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and integration of subsea vehicles (HAUV/AUV/ROV).
• Own design-for-manufacture, tolerancing, and material choices for marine environments.
• Collaborate with electrical/electronic engineers on wiring, connectors, and power routing.
• Lead structural analysis and validation (FEA, pressure testing) for depth and duty cycles.
• Manage the full engineering lifecycle from requirements to production handover.
• Mentor and grow a team of mechanical/mechatronics/electrical engineers.
