Job summary

T T J DESIGN AND ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a structural/civil/mechanical engineer to review drawings and specs for projects, and to ensure steel, welding, and surface treatment standards are met. You will coordinate detailing, manage shop drawings, and drive weekly progress reports as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in structural/civil/mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years experience in structural steel engineering coordination.
• Proficient in detailing software: AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, MS Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; self-starter and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret design drawings and specs for projects.
• Apply standard codes and project specs for steel, welding, and surface treatment.
• Prepare and submit RFIs, TQs, and RFAs as needed.
• Propose better engineering alternatives and connection details.
• Review structural models and shop drawings.
• Lead a workgroup for engineering coordination and detailing.
• Monitor shop drawing schedules and prepare weekly progress reports.
• Undertake duties assigned by supervisor/head of department.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Undertaking duties/assignments as and when appropriately assigned by the Superior/Head of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree/Diploma in Structural/Civil/ and Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 year experience in structural steel engineering coordinating.
• Good knowledge in detailing software (AutoCAD, TEKLA Structures, and Microsoft Office suite).
• Good communication skills and effective team player.
• Self-starter and can work under pressure.

NOTE:

• 5.5 day work week (Alternate Saturday Off).
