Job summary

Commswave Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Engineering Assistant to support the assembly, integration, testing and troubleshooting of SATCOM equipment and systems.

The role involves assembling and testing SATCOM/ RF/ electronic and mechanical gear, installing antenna terminals and related components, and assisting engineers with prototyping and documentation. Training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical and troubleshooting ability.
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and test equipment.
• SATCOM/RF experience is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test SATCOM, RF, electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Support installation of antenna terminals, BUC, LNB, power supplies and cabling.
• Perform wiring, crimping, soldering and basic electrical/electronic testing.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting, prototype builds and product improvements.
• Prepare BOMs, test records and basic technical documentation.
• Support inventory, incoming component checks and project activities.

Requirements

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Telecommunications or related engineering field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Hands-on technical and troubleshooting ability.
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and test equipment.
• SATCOM/RF experience is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided.
• Responsible, willing to learn and able to work independently and as part of a team.
