Job summary

SANMINA-SCI TECHNOLOGY INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Singapore is seeking an Engineering Assistant I to perform product changeovers on schedule and support line efficiency and quality improvements on the production floor.

The ideal candidate holds a Nitec or Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent) with 1 year of maintenance experience and knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in PCBA equipment and computer applications is valued.

Qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical and pneumatic is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer applications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out product changeover on schedule according to process specs.
• Improve line efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot soldering quality issues by analysis or root cause.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Carry out improvements on hand tools, jigs and fixtures on the line.
• Carry out feeder maintenance and repair work.
• Perform ESD verification on work benches and equipment.
• Support line improvement projects for optimum efficiency.
• Assist in NPI activities; edit pick & place programs, line balancing and UPH improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and tools.
• Support Wave soldering machine and SMT-related tasks.
• Support Plant Facility as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Engineering Assistant I

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out product changeover in a timely manner according to schedule and product process specification.
• Take necessary action to improve line efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot and rectify process problems such as soldering quality issues with analysis or root cause.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment problems in order to prevent the equipment from breakdown during production run.
• Carry out improvement and modification on hand tools, jigs and fixtures used on the production line.
• Carry out feeder maintenance and repair work.
• Perform ESD verification on work benches and equipment.
• Support project work for line improvement to achieve optimum efficiency.
• Support NPI activities; pick & place program editing, perform line balancing and UPH improvement to production line.
• Carry out preventive maintenance production equipment, production tools and fixtures.
• Support Wave soldering machine, tasks similar to SMT.
• Support Plant Facility as and when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
