ICHOR SYSTEMS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is expanding and looking for a hands-on Engineering Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Singapore, supporting assembly and testing of precision equipment for the semiconductor industry.

You will read drawings, build gas panels, and perform leak checks and functional testing in a cleanroom environment. This role operates on a 12-hour rotating day/night shift and requires flexibility to support overtime and weekend work when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing/production experience.
• Able to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly builds and testing according to specs, drawings and work instructions.
• Support gas panel building from pallet assembly through leak checks and testing.
• Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings for accurate assembly.
• Work in a cleanroom with good housekeeping and manufacturing discipline.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production, quality and delivery targets.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain workplace safety.
• Conduct risk assessments and support corrective actions.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement to reduce waste and improve quality, cost and productivity.

Job description

Ichor is expanding and looking for a hands‑on Engineering Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Singapore, supporting the assembly and testing of precision equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will work with engineering drawings, build gas panels, and perform leak checks and functional testing in a cleanroom environment. This is a great opportunity to build your technical skills and gain valuable hands‑on experience in semiconductor manufacturing. This role operates on a 12‑hour rotating day/night shift and requires flexibility to support overtime and weekend work when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly builds and testing according to specifications, engineering drawing sand work instructions.
• Support gas panel building from initial pallet assembly and integration through leak checks and functional testing.
• Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings to carry out assembly work accurately.
• Work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment while maintaining good housekeeping and manufacturing discipline.
• Work closely with team members to achieve production, quality and delivery targets.
• Follow EH&S requirements and take personal responsibility for workplace safety.
• Conduct risk assessments for work activities and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste and errors while improving quality, cost and productivity.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline .
• At least 1years of manufacturing, production or operations experience .
• Able to read and understand schematic and mechanical drawings .
• Able to commit to a 12-hour day/night shift , including weekends, and support overtime when operationally required.
• Strong quality, safety and productivity mindset.
• Good team player with a hands‑on approach to work.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience in gas box or gas panel assembly within the semiconductor industry is preferred.
