Job summary

Ichor Systems Singapore Pte Ltd is expanding its manufacturing team in Singapore, seeking an Engineering Assistant to support assembly and testing of precision equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will work with engineering drawings, build gas panels, and perform leak checks in a cleanroom environment.

The role involves a 12-hour day/night shift and potential overtime. Ideal candidates have a Diploma or related engineering training, and are willing to work weekends.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing, production or operations experience.
• Hands-on engineering training, internship or exposure encouraged.
• Able to read schematic and mechanical drawings.
• Willing to work a 12-hour day/night shift including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly builds and testing according to specifications and drawings.
• Support gas panel building from initial assembly through leak checks and testing.
• Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings for accurate assembly.
• Work in a cleanroom environment with high housekeeping and discipline.
• Collaborate with team to meet production, quality and delivery targets.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain workplace safety.
• Conduct risk assessments and support corrective actions.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement to reduce waste and improve quality, cost and productivity.
